Passengers with special needs

State Enterprise "Danylo Halytskyi International Airport "Lviv" provides efficient service for the passengers with special needs, i.e. passengers with reduced mobility, visual and hearing impairement.

If the passenger needs special assistance service, it should be indicated at time of ticket reservation/purchase in the Ticket Office or directly to the airline representative carrying out the transportation. 

On arrival at the airport the passenger may address the Information or Check-in desk with accompany request. Skilled airport staff that has undergone special PRM training and has corresponding certificates provide assistance during boarding and disembarking the plane. Free wheelchairs are available in the Airport for transportation of people with reduced mobility on the staircases of the terminal, passenger ramps and airplane cabins. The wheelchair elevators for passengers are provided for getting up and down. Specially adapted facilities include toilets fitted with emergency call button linked to the First-Aid staff function. At the apron of State Enterprise "Danylo Halytskyi International Airport "Lviv" an ambulift vehicle is available: it is a special machine that is used for transportation people with reduced mobility and provides assistance to the passengers with special needs while boarding and disembarking the plane. To facilitate visually impaired passengers the elevator buttons have Braille letters.
